Two years ago I shared some information on here about a new essential oil that doTERRA came out with. It was our Lemon Eucalyptus oil and it was said to pack a real positive punch in the 15ml bottle it came in. I knew a lot about Eucalyptus oil at the time but this new version was a welcome addition. The first thing I used it for was to eliminate kitchen odors after I cooked. The bright, refreshing scent tore through the odor of lingering food in minutes and I was a solid customer. Diffusing this essential oil in any room where there might be lingering, unpleasant odors will make you a frequent user. ( think bathrooms, nurseries, teenagers bedrooms, etc.)
Punch Out Bugs!
Lemon Eucalyptus oil is one of the best natural insect repellents out there. Along with our Citronella oil and our popular TerraShield blend, you’ve got a few oils to choose from when the bugs come out and you don’t want their company. Lemon Eucalyptus is a favorite because the scent is a bit less potent so kids seem to respond to it better. You can safely apply this essential oil to your skin but I always recommend diluting it with our Fractionated Coconut oil if you have sensitive skin. For easy application add 6 to 8 drops of the oil in a small glass or metal spray bottle. Shake and spritz over the exposed skin and even on clothing if you want. The oil won’t hurt the fabric and will leave no stains. You and your family will surely love this natural punch of repellent, but the bugs won’t!
More Happy Uses
Some of the other popular uses for our Lemon Eucalyptus oil are:
- Emotional Balance
- Fungal Targets on Skin
- Hair & Scalp Support
- Joint Discomfort
- Circulation Targets
- Body Odor
- Digestion Support / topical
- Surface Cleaner
- Immune System Support
- Skin Care
I love sharing our oils with people because each of our essential oils are useful for more than one thing. This makes it easy to start your own oil collection focusing on your own personal needs. You can start small and build from there, knowing that the shelf life for our oils are many, many years. Just make sure you store them properly and treat them like you would chocolate. This means don’t leave them in a sunny area, don’t keep them in a hot car, and don’t heat them in the microwave oven. ( trust me…this has happened! ) ~ If you have any questions, or want to share stories/uses of your own, please reach out to me. I’m always happy to learn more and share with people who follow my blog.
Have a great day! Jana
