This blog topic came from a reader, Michelle, who wanted to tell me her own personal story. Michelle gets spray tans because she doesn’t want to damage her skin by sitting out in the sun. The spray tans are great but as the days roll by the appearance of the tan starts to get blotchy and faded. The color likes to stick to the ankle, knee, elbow, and neck areas though so people usually have to scrub these areas hard to get the stain to work away. When you do this though, the skin can become damaged and that’s not a good outcome for anyone. Michelle is a doTERRA oil user so she decided to experiment with the oils one day. She picked our Lemon oil and gently rubbed a bit right over the stains on her skin, in a circular motion. This released the color easily and didn’t harm her skin at all. By doing this she is able to go back to the tanning parlor with totally clean, blotch-free skin, allowing the new tan to adhere nicely all over her body. ( you can probably use any of the citrus oils for this same thing so if you don’t have Lemon oil, no worries ) ~ I love getting these stories from you guys… I learn so much! And having this blog, this resource for information, allows everyone to gain answers to questions they might have that have already been written about on here. For example, my friend, Carrie, messaged me the other day asking if she could put our oils on dryer balls. I said yes, and directed her to the Search window on this page where she typed in DRYER BALLS and the blog I wrote about it came up. It’s just that simple to get the answers we need, fast and for free!
Have a great day! Jana
