If any of you have been wondering if doTERRA has essential oils that can help soothe certain targets that dogs experience, this is the blog post for you. I’ve been writing for years about the benefits our oils have when you include them in your pets lives and today I have a fresh story to share with all of you who own a dog. ~ About five months ago I adopted a two year old female dog. You never know what you’re getting when you rescue an adult pet, but if you’re an animal lover you know you’ll accept anything that comes with it. What came with this cutie was a scared, timid personality, and a protective nature when it came to me… the one who ‘saved’ her. It’s been interesting introducing her to new situations and people and the other day I overdid it with the stimulation so what happened is every human-owners nightmare.~ When dogs get stressed it ALWAYS shows up through their digestive system. Without going into too many details, I’m glad I buy my towels in bulk at Costco. The last two days have showed me that A; the intestines in a small breed dog are mighty long, and B; even if you only have carpet in ONE room of your big house, that is the room the dog will go to. Ugh… the only thing I can say is that I am so grateful for a few of my oils for this mess. Our DigestZen blend can be diluted with a carrier oil and applied right on the lower abdomen area for a soothing relief that absorbs into the skin almost immediately. If you can get your dog to lick a small bit of the oil from your finger this can have a happy effect as well. And when your dog is finally calmed down you can diffuse our Lavender or Balance blend in the room when your pet is resting to help keep tension to a minimum. ~ For more pet-friendly oils and their uses, feel free to contact me at any time, I’m always available to chat!
Have a great day! Jana
