Who knew that a pure essential oil, and I’m only supporting PURE oils because they are all I know, could help a person who is suffering with bunions or boo-boo’s? Well, we have several oils that are suggested in our essential oils book and I also have a woman who told me a personal story of her own. First of all I’ll explain what this ‘boo-boo’ is… it’s the growth of the fluid-filled sack located close to joints that provides lubrication for tendons, skin and ligaments rubbing against the bone. The issue is caused by certain other conditions. People suffering with this condition most likely experience tenderness and discomfort which can limit movement. A bunion is this issue of the big toe. It is often caused by constrictive shoes that force the big toe to point inward and the base of the big toe to jut outward. This misplacement can irritate the bursa at the base of the toe and cause it to become bigger with discomfort, causing more irritation. A woman I know started rubbing Cypress oil on her bunion having no real information on this protocol. She had a bottle of it in her oil kit and she knew it was good for circulation, so she tried it. After several days of using it she noticed the discomfort was almost nothing and it seemed the bone was getting better, back to normal somehow. Well, if you look up this condition, one of the first oils recommended is Cypress. The others are: Juniper Berry, the Soothing blend, ( the oil blend or the Rub) White Fir, Basil and Wintergreen. All of these work well for both of the above mentioned issues when applied topically in a massage-like manner, allowing the body heat from your hands to drive the oil deep into the tissues. I have heard that people experience relief very quickly and most of them are grateful to be able to achieve this using a natural product. Have a great day! Jana
