Recently I had a woman write in to tell me her story about how she’s been using our essential oils. She wants to remain anonymous because this story is very personal. I’m going to refer to her as ‘Kate’ during this blog. ~ Kate has a weight problem and would like to lose over 100 pounds. She’s started a diet and exercise routine but the issue she wanted to share was about the skin in between the folds in her back, stomach, and thigh areas. These areas were difficult to wash and keep dry and because of this her skin was not reacting in a positive way. The pinkness, bumps, and itchiness was uncomfortable and Kate was affected by this all day, every day. A friend of hers told her about doTERRA and that she thought our Tea Tree (Melaleuca) oil would be able to calm and soothe the skin in between those areas of concern. Kate decided to try it by rubbing a small amount of the oil on the areas after she had washed and dried the skin. One of the first things she noticed was the feeling of relief from the discomfort… it was almost immediate after she applied the oil. And because she started to use the oil a few times a day, her skin started to react in the positive way she had hoped. Kate wanted to share this because she knows that a lot of people could find natural soothing by doing this same thing. ~ A few of the other oils that are good for skin targets like this are: Myrrh, Oregano (diluted with a carrier oil), Peppermint, Geranium, Eucalyptus, Arborvitae, our HDClear blend, Lemongrass, and Citronella. I always suggest that people dilute the oils first when using on skin that may need to be treated with TLC for the first few uses. ~ If you have a personal story to share that may support others, please send me an email about it so I can share it. We all learn from each other and this blog is for all of us.
Thanks, have a great day! Jana
