There’s a new recipe for a DIY hair conditioner using some of doTERRA’s essential oils and people are really liking it. I’ve had several people write in to tell me to check out the blog on doTERRA’s website that shares the recipe. I decided to share it on here with you today. First, you will need to get 3 Tablespoons of coconut oil, 1 Tablespoon of olive oil, 8 drops of any one of these essential oils: Lavender, Peppermint, Rosemary, Geranium, or Clary Sage. All of these oils help to support the hair from the root to the tip. After you’ve picked your oil of choice, put the coconut oil, the olive oil, and the 8 drops of your essential oil in a mixing bowl and mix on medium speed for about 5 minutes or until the mixture is whipped to a thick and creamy consistency. Apply to your clean, dry hair and comb through the hair with a wide toothed comb to evenly distribute. Let sit on your hair for 15-20 minutes, then rinse, shampoo, and style as usual. Do this once a week to maintain soft, healthy, chemical free hair. ~ There are a few other oils that help hair and scalp conditions, including: Cedarwood, Cypress, Melaleuca, Grapefruit, Juniper Berry, and Clove. If you have any questions about specific concerns but you don’t know which oils to target for each concern, contact me directly and I can get you the answers. I am always available to expand on what I write about on this website and blog, so don’t be shy, contact me today!
Have a great day! Jana
