If I spent time criticizing everything that made me wonder about people’s decision making, I’d be in a world of hurt. One of my biggest concerns has been witnessing dog owners and their decisions to take them on long hikes during this summer heat when they clearly aren’t prepared. If you take only one 16 ounce bottle of water for yourself and your dog on a 90 minute hike up hills and with rare shade, that is not enough. If you think about it, it’s not even enough for the person, let alone sharing some drinks with the pup. I have seen this happening more this year than ever because we have been on lock-down on and off, parks have been closed, and time limits have been set that may affect peoples ability to exercise when they want. Anyway, just try to do the right thing and make decisions based on common sense and the fact that you are responsible for not just yourself. ~ Sorry about the rant but allow me to change the subject to ways that essential oils can support your body naturally when you may feel the effects of being out in the weather longer than usual. Warm weather can zap us, especially when you are active, and water consumption is always the number one thing that you can do to support your body. If you happen to be a person who doesn’t like the bland taste of water, try adding a citrus oil to it, like Lemon, Grapefruit, or Lime. You can also spritz a mixture of water and Peppermint oil over your exposed skin to cool yourself off quickly, and adding a couple of drops of doTERRA’s Eucalyptus oil to your body lotion and applying it after a shower can soothe and calm warm skin on contact. And if you want to learn a little more about water and it’s benefits, type WATER in the Search window on this page and everything I’ve written about it will come up!
Stay cool out there! Jana
