There’s a video on my YouTube channel where I talked about using some of our essential oils in a pesto recipe. A few people have asked me to forward them the recipe, which I’ve done, and all of them told me they absolutely love it. I figured I’d put the recipe on my blog so everyone could have it if pesto is something of interest. – PESTO – 3 cups basil leaves, loosely packed. 3 small cloves of garlic. 1/3 cup pine nuts. 2/3 cup olive oil. 1 toothpick dip of doTERRA Black Pepper oil. 1 toothpick dip of our Basil oil. 1 toothpick dip of our Lemon oil, and 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese. ( the toothpick dip is just sliding the toothpick into the bottle of oil and covering 1/4 of the pick with the oil and then stirring the pick right in the pesto ) Put in a bowl and combine 1/2 of all of the ingredients in a blender and blend well. Add the rest of the mixture and pulse-blend until the pesto has reached the desired consistency. Add more olive oil if too dry. Store in refrigerator in an air tight container. This pesto is wonderful on fish, pasta, chicken, vegetables, etc. ~ Along with this recipe we also have a fresh Avocado Salsa, Zucchini Bread, Sweet Muffins, Baked Oatmeal, Homemade Granola, Ham and Cheese Quiche, Lemon Bars, Peppermint Brownie Bites, Creamy Cilantro Dressing, Brown Sugar Salmon, Thai Lemongrass Chicken, Herb-Marinated London Broil, Pear and Cheese Salad, and Lime Cilantro Rice. All of these recipes include some of doTERRA’s oils and all of them taste amazing. There are many more recipes I can share so please contact me if you’d like any of them. I’m super excited because the newest version of our ‘oil bibles’ will be out right after convention and they will contain even more recipes that I can share.
