I guess that means I’m feeling pride when I say I’m feeling the Red, White, and Blue. Pride for this great country that I live in. For the last 9 years I have written about the USA on this great day, the 4th of July, our Independence Day. I’ve always felt that this country offered so many opportunities for all of us who are citizens here and I appreciate the freedoms that we are so blessed to have. I’ve always written positively about it and to this day I still feel the exact same way. Feeling pride for where you come from is important and I know people from other countries who feel the same way about their own country. As human beings on this planet we all deserve to live a life where we can live free and make our own decisions. For most of my life this has been my personal experience but recently I’ve seen some changes coming and I can’t hide from them any longer.
Take A Stand
People always tell you when you are writing a blog to stick to the subject matter, don’t veer off course because you might cause waves. I have pretty much stuck to this plan since I started talking about natural healthcare options and sharing the products that I believe in. I’ve rarely ventured off the grid and talked about political issues or subjects that might be controversial but in the past few months I’ve had some experiences that have changed my views on this. What is wrong with standing up for your own values/opinions when others are pummeling you with theirs and telling you that if you don’t think like they do, you are in the wrong? This doesn’t fly with me and here’s what I think about that. ~ I’m an Independent voter who has always voted for the candidate that I thought would be the most beneficial for my country. I believe the majority of people who vote anywhere in the world also vote this way. Why would any freedom loving person want to destroy the opportunities that freedom brings? And why would we put our trust in people who so clearly don’t have our best interests at heart…
Go Your Own Way
Everyone deserves the right to express their opinions and I will fight for freedom of speech for everyone until the day I die. Just because we might disagree about something doesn’t mean we can’t have a lively conversation about it. I have many friends who I care about who are not on the same page as I am and that’s okay. They have their reasons for thinking the way that they do, just like I do. Going your own way, having your own opinions, and sharing your own message is so important, especially right now. Conversation and communication is key and if you just look around you, no matter where you live, we all need more of this right now. ~ I love my country and the Red, White, and Blue flag is the symbol that I look up to. It stands for freedom and justice and liberty for all, and has been flown in times of freedom and war since the beginning. When you do any research at all about the country that you live in, the history behind it, you, too, will feel that need to also stand up for what is right. Sometimes you have to travel down a few rabbit holes to get the information that you need but I guarantee you, you will find the answers that you seek.
