Everyone has their own personal stories of things they’ve gone through, been successful in, accomplished, etc. All of us strive to have gains in our lives and when something big happens, like an anniversary or accomplishment of something meaningful attained, we want to recognize it and congratulate ourselves in some way. I usually just look at my milestone and then get on with my day but today I feel differently. I’m pretty proud of myself because today marks the day, five hundred days ago, that I decided to put down my wine glass for good. That was back in late June of 2019 and I’ve been an open book about it on this blog and with people all over since then. After making the decision to become alcohol free I joined an online reset, bought about twelve books on the subject and hunkered down to do the work I needed to do. Long story short, I sit here today, after going through this past year of major craziness, ( 2020… please end! ) and I’ve gotta say, I haven’t experienced a craving or calling to go back to my old ways. And even if I’m out with friends who drink alcohol, or use wine in recipes, not once have I even considered taking a sip. That is huge coming from this old Temecula wine tasting fiend, and purchaser of a wine 6-pack every week. Times have changed and I am happier, healthier, and more energetic than ever. ~ With that being said, we are all so much more capable of doing hard things than we think. If you just start to have a little bit of belief in yourself you will see that anything is possible and we can really do anything we want to do. I’m living proof of this and if you ever want to pick my brain, I’m available anytime!
Enjoy your day! Jana
