One of the subjects that isn’t talked about a lot is circulation and how some essential oils can help to support it. When I first got involved with doTERRA’s oils and products, the first oil I heard about that was used for circulation was our Cypress oil. Since then I have learned that we have quite a few oils that can support the circulatory system by applying topically and/or diffusing in the air. These oils are: Copaiba, Thyme, Peppermint, Clary Sage, Wintergreen, Citrus Bliss, Rosemary, Geranium, Cinnamon, Helichrysum, Neroli, Serenity, and Basil. My favorite way to use them is to massage the oil into the skin of the area that needs the attention. For example, the other night as I was reading on my couch with my legs crossed and my ankles resting on the coffee table, I noticed a big divot in my skin above my ankle where my other leg had weighed on it. The pressure from my body weight had crushed my skin and muscle into an uncomfortable V-shaped divot in my skin. Ouch… and it looked terrible as well. Anyway, I went and got my bottle of Cypress oil and started to massage the area for about five full minutes. The relief was wonderful but it still took my skin a good 20 minutes to snap back into shape. ~ As I write all the time, having all of these oils on hand comes in so handy when you need them. But you don’t need to have all of them… you can start out slow and just invest in a few, one at a time, so you don’t get overwhelmed and you can get used to each one at a normal pace. If you’d like help in figuring out which oils you’d like to start with, give me a call or shoot me an email. I’d be happy to help!
Have a great day! Jana
