One of the most annoying things that can happen to you on a busy day is when you step in a wad of gum. I guess we should all look where we’re going with every step we take but that’s pretty impossible. So, coming home after trying to scrape the gum off on a curb with no real great results makes us ponder if the shoe is worth saving, or should we just toss it? Getting gum off of the sole of a shoe, especially one that has those waffle-looking things on the bottom…WHAT are those for??… is difficult, time consuming, and disgusting. BUT, if you happen to have a bottle of doTERRA’s Lemon essential oil on hand, I have some good news for you. Simply grab a few paper towels and put a drop of the oil right over the gum, let it sit for a minute, and then work the gum off with the paper towels. You can use a toothpick too, which really helps. Anyway, Lemon oil is such a great oil to use on these kinds of issues and I’ve shared stories along these lines before. I’ve talked about getting gum out of hair, fabrics, and carpets. And it’s also a great oil to use for general cleaning purposes of all kinds, besides all of the other popular uses. If you just type LEMON into the Search window on this page everything I’ve written about this great oil will come up for you to read about. I have a bottle of this oil in my kitchen and in my bathroom, plus I always carry some in my purse. ( try adding a drop to your drinking water when you’re out at a restaurant to flavor boring water and support your body at the same time! ) Let me know if you have any questions and if you’d like a sample, I’m here to share!
Have a great day! Jana
