I rarely get head tension but this morning I woke up with a banger. I think it’s partly because of the weather; we are experiencing higher than average heat that looks to get worse as the week goes on. It could also be because I didn’t drink my usual glass of water before bed last night, and it could also have to do with the amount of work that I have to deal with in the next couple of weeks. Anyway, at times like this, I am so grateful that I have my essential oils to fall back on. I immediately rubbed Peppermint oil all over my forehead and the back of my neck and grabbed a big glass of water to drink. I put some Lemongrass oil in my diffuser and ran it while I started going through emails and making calls. These little things really helped to quiet down my tension and right now I can honestly say that I am hardly even aware of any discomfort at all. The power of Mother Nature has worked it’s magic again! – The essential oil company I work with has a lot of options when it comes to tension, but I always go for the Peppermint oil first. It is one of the most cooling oils you can use and the smell is just uplifting and energizing at the same time…no one can be in a bad mood when they use or come in contact with this oil. You can also try our Tension blend oil, Lemon, our Soothing blend, our Massage blend, and the Rosemary oil for relief. Diffusing Eucalyptus oil can work wonders also. ~ Remember to be proactive with your health and think forward about what’s coming up ahead. Last night I knew it was going to be a hot, dry day so I should have prepared my body better for it. Instead, I spent my morning trying to rid my head of an issue I could have nipped in the bud by doing easy, proactive things. Even with everything that I know, it turns out I’m only human too. Live and learn, right?
