How many of you like Kombucha? I had never tried it until about a year ago and man, now I’m a huge fan. I absolutely love it and there are a few brands that I can buy at the store that have great flavors and just hit the spot. Pineapple/Peach is probably my favorite but it seems to be everyone else’s too so if I find it when I’m at the store I feel lucky. Because of this I started to think about how I could make my own, using a few of our essential oils to add into my new favorite thing. What I found was a recipe for a great option and today I’m going to share this recipe with you. ~ The first thing you need to do is find some plain, or original Kombucha. A lot of places have it so just go to a search engine and look up where they offer it near you. After you have it, get a 750ml glass bottle with a swing top, doTERRA’s Lemon and also Ginger oils, and a lemon wedge. Pour the Kombucha in the bottle leaving a 1 inch space from the top. Add 1 drop of the Lemon essential oil, the lemon wedge, and 1 drop of the Ginger oil into the mixture. Secure the lid and leave it in a dark place for 2 days. ( I put mine in the linen closet ) After the 2 days, place the jar in the refrigerator and enjoy it after it’s fully chilled. You will love this if you’re a Kombucha fan, and even more if you’re an essential oil fan as well. ~ There are more recipes to share with different essential oils so if you’re interested, contact me directly and I’ll get those to you.
