It’s coming up on that time of the year where the temperature starts to rise and people start getting uncomfortable because of heat patterns. People are out exercising at much earlier hours nowadays to beat the heat, or they are waiting until late in the day. I have seen so many people out running or hiking right at sunrise just so they can fit it in and I’ve become one of those people myself recently. Unfortunately for some, they don’t have options on when they can fit their workouts in because of obligations, and because of this I wanted to share some of the essential oils that can help cool the body down in a natural way. ~ I’m a big fan of spritzing certain oils over my skin during or after a workout to cool myself down. By just adding a few drops of Peppermint oil, or Eucalyptus oil in a small spray bottle with water and spritzing it over the skin, you have a pleasant way to cool yourself down quickly, relieving any uncomfortable feelings. Both of these oils are the top two, but we have other choices as well, like Tea Tree, Spearmint, Lavender, Vetiver, Sandalwood, and Roman Chamomile to choose from also. Spritzing is a great way to use the oils, but you can also rub any of these oils over affected body parts after mixing with a carrier oil of your choice. And if you’re looking to cool yourself down internally, try putting a drop of Peppermint oil in a glass of drinking water, or any of our citrus oils. This is a natural way to cool down, plus it will refresh your mouth and breath at the same time. ~ For other ideas on this topic go to the Search window at the top of this page and type in: COOLING OILS and everything I’ve written about them will come up.
Have a great day! Jana
