One of our newest essential oils is here and it’s already gotten me hooked. Guaiacwood oil is also referred to as Holy Wood oil so you may have heard of it that way. I actually knew I was going to love this oil well before I even met it. Why? Because I heard it had 90% Sesquiterpenes in it and if you’ve heard me talk about this constituent, you already know. ( type in SESQUITERPENES in the Search window on this page for details on this ) There is so much good stuff inside this new bottle of oil so let’s unpack a little of it now. First, Guaiacwood oil is steam distilled from the heartwood of the Bulnesia Sarmientoi tree, grown in Paraguay. It is sustainably and ethically sourced, supporting the forest it comes from. It has an earthy, grounding aroma with a subtle sweetness attached to it.
Centuries Of Use Don’t Lie
Guaiacwood oil has been used for centuries in meditation practices and wellness ceremonies. Native Americans have used this oil continuously and are happy to share its many benefits with others. Here are a few of the ways we can experience this beautiful oil:

- Emotional balance.
When you open up this bottle of oil and inhale the scent, it just makes you feel good. The scent is comforting and soothing and will balance the moods of everyone in its path. Diffusing this oil can be beneficial for many reasons but topical use is great too. As you can see from the list above, your whole body/brain can benefit from this oil. Young or older, people of all ages will learn to love this oil.
Guaiacwood Is A Mouthful
Many essential oils have names that are difficult to pronounce and Guaiacwood is one of them. Here’s a way to try: Goo – Why – Ack – Wood Say it fast and I believe that is the correct pronunciation. Or close enough! No matter, I’m looking forward to using this oil and sharing your own stories that I hear about. Please feel free to contact me with anything you’d like to pass on. Because this is a new oil to our collection, I’m eager to learn as much as possible.
Have a great day! Jana
