Just recently my son has taken up cooking and it’s been wonderful for us because I seldom have time to think about a menu plan. I am so busy from sunup to sundown that fixing meals is pretty much the last thing I want to do. So, what does a kid do who wants to eat healthy, satisfying food… he learns to cook it himself. Along with this has come a daily clean-up process and having my doTERRA essential oils here has helped a lot. The lingering scent of the last prepared meal is always hanging around so I found some ways to chase it away. ~ If you put a drop of any of our citrus oils in a shallow pan with 2 inches of water in it and heat it to a simmer, this can knock out bad scents fast. ~ You can disinfect a stinky kitchen sponge with Lemon oil by putting one drop of it right on the sponge and squeezing it, rinsing it with water at the same time. ( I started using the Scrub Mommy sponges recently and they never smell bad…this is just a plug for a great product! ) ~ Another way to freshen up your kitchen is to spritz your window screens with Peppermint oil or our Purify blend. Both of these will have your kitchen smelling clean as the air wafts through the screens. Plus, both of these scents will help to keep pests away! ~ You can freshen up stinky trash cans by placing a cotton ball with any one of the citrus oils on it and putting it at the bottom of the can. You can actually use any oil that you like the scent of… I have been going back and forth between Lemongrass and Lavender and my cans always smell great. ~ If you have any of your own tips to share, send them in, I love learning new stuff!
Have a great day! Jana
