I have a tendency to run cold. Not in my actions or desires, but in body temperature. I am constantly clasping my hands together, rubbing them, squeezing my feet for better circulation, etc. My friends tell me to gain weight but I don’t think that’s the problem. Ever since I was young I have had these same issues…I think it’s just the way my body works. ( Cypress essential oil works great for circulation, BTW, and when I rub it on my extremities I do feel a difference. Contact me for more information on this! ) Anyway, last night I was talking to a friend about ‘problems’ because she was very sad and depressed. She rattled off several reasons why life was getting her down and she was having a hard time psyching herself ‘up’. I listened to her talk and then I asked her a question… How was her health? Was she suffering from an illness, cancer, going blind, heart issues, brain disorders…? She was totally silent for a few seconds. Then she slowly said, ‘nooooo…. I’m good, my health is OK.’ And I said what I always love to say… ‘If you have your health, you have everything you need.’ Isn’t this the truth?? Unfortunately we hardly ever think about this reality. We, as humans, like to complain and focus on the things that are looming in front of us. Our rent, our bills, our work overload, our families needs, etc. We only really think about our health when something happens to us; when we get sick, or are facing an invading illness. Now, I know a lot of you eat right and exercise, trying to be proactive in your healthcare, but when something lands on us, invading our health, we panic and ultimately realize that without our health we are as fragile as a moth in a rain storm. There is nothing scarier then hearing a doctor tell you words you never wanted to hear. – My point in writing about this today is that I feel grateful. I have a lot of things I am juggling right now and half of them I have no idea how I’m going to handle. But I know I will and I know everything will be OK… there is always an answer and things always work out. And the other thing I know is that all the people out there struggling with real health issues don’t want to hear how someone else is devastated because their cable is out. – Life is good… you have what matters most.
Have a great day! Jana
