In this months doTERRA Living magazine there are some recipes being featured that I wanted to share with you because they are quick and easy, and delicious! Get a pen and paper ready so you can write these down, or just print out this blog. ~ For yummy, savory, bruschetta ideas, start with toast points, ( any size will do ) and mix some avocado, diced mango, and some salsa with one drop of Cumin essential oil in a small bowl and scoop onto the toast points. ~ For the salmon lovers out there, place some thinly sliced smoked salmon over cream cheese laced with just a touch of our Rosemary oil and put on top of the toast. ~ Another popular recipe is to put some mozzarella cheese, a slice of tomato, a basil leaf, and a tiny bit of balsamic oil with a bit of our Basil oil mixed in on top of the toast. ~ One of the more interesting recipes is to get some steamed spinach mixed with a little bit of our Lemon oil, place on the toast, and then add a poached egg on top. I haven’t tried this one yet but I will soon because it sounds interesting! ~ Another great recipe is one I cook a lot because it makes a great dinner, plus it’s good for leftovers the next day. Use our Lemon oil in a base of olive oil in a saute pan and cook a fillet of Salmon, or any fish you’d like, right in the oily mixture. Add in capers and lemon slices and seasoning to achieve the flavor that works for you. As a side to this, cut up vegetables of your choosing, toss in a roasting pan with a little bit of olive oil, Oregano oil, Black Pepper oil, and seasonings and roast at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until a fork slides into the veggies easily. ~ These should give you a great start to using our essential oils in your summer cooking but if you’d like more ideas type in RECIPES in the Search window on this page!
