Sometimes it’s nice to talk about an essential oil that might not get the most attention and that’s why I’m going to talk about Spearmint today. I used to think that Wintergreen was my favorite mint scent but recently I’ve moved Spearmint up to the top of the list. Not only is the scent beautiful but the oil can also be beneficial as well. Some of the ways people like using this oil are for diffusing in the air to keep kids focused on their school studies, and to clear the air of any mustiness or odors. You can use Spearmint oil topically on areas where you may experience some head or body tension, muscles that may be overworked, and cranky joints that may have seen better days. By massaging this oil into the affected areas for a few minutes you may experience soothing coolness that can be supportive all day long. Spearmint oil is also a great oil to carry with you when you’re traveling by car for long distances. By just inhaling this oil right from the bottle you will experience an immediate ‘awake’ sensation that can be really helpful.
