Shaving parts of our body is pretty common for both men and women and sometimes when we perform this activity we can run into some mishaps. Awhile ago I was having lunch with a friend; back when that was allowed, and she told me that her husband had cut himself pretty badly while he was shaving. Because of the job he has, he needs to shave his face every day so the skin wasn’t having much time to get back to normal. This is so common and if you are new to essential oils let me share some interesting tips for you. ~ Helichrysum oil is probably the most well known for supporting the skin when something like this happens to it. This oil can be used straight, right on the affected area, and you can also dilute it with a carrier oil if you have sensitivity issues. Now, Helichrysum is my choice too, but if you don’t have it handy, but you do have Lavender or Tea Tree oil, use either of those to support your skin needs. ~ Another issue that you might not think about turning to essential oils for is cleaning white plastic-like surfaces that get stained from food dyes. I have a white food processor and every time I puree carrots or beets, the white surfaces get stained. I have found after experimenting with different things that doTERRA’s Lemon or Lime oil can easily and completely take stubborn stains off of these types of surfaces. Just put a couple drops of the essential oil on a cloth and wipe over the stained surfaces. You will be pleasantly surprised at how quickly and easily this remedy works! ~ I could go on and on about these oils and all of their great uses but I’ll stop for today and share more stories like I always do in the coming weeks. I hope to see you back here again soon…
