The other day I was curling my hair with my curling iron and I lost my grip and it hit me right on the forehead. Now, if any of you have ever burned yourselves with a curling iron you know the discomfort that is involved with the ‘getting better’ process. ( I can’t say certain words on here anymore ) And since this burn was on my forehead, I was screwed. I have to wash my face and sure, I can work around that area, but taking a shower and washing my hair makes it impossible to keep dry. And there goes the scab that is trying to protect the area…down the drain and the process has to begin again. And forget wearing a baseball cap…I did that too and when I took it off, off tore the scab! Ouch!! I do have one positive to talk about though…my oils. I have been using the Lavender and the anti-aging blend on it and I have to say, I have had zero discomfort. Years ago I burned myself with a curling iron but on the side of my neck. It was so hurtful during the ‘getting better’ process and I did not know about essential oils back then. I remember it taking well over a month to get better and it was not comfortable. This time I am getting better faster and I have had no discomfort at all. Just frustration at my clumsiness. Some of the other oils we recommend for burns are: Melaleuca, Geranium and Helichrysm. These are all very soothing oils and since ours are 100% pure, there are no side effects associated with any of them. So you can use these oils knowing they are the best thing you can do for yourself.
Have a great day! Jana
