Last year when many women were experiencing the loss of salon services for things like hair and nail care, I wrote a blog about nails and the growing out process. Many people love having the ability to go to a salon and be pampered for a couple of hours but when that was taken away from many it made us realize that in-home care needed to be learned. I have personally had a gel coating brushed on my fingernails for the past three years and I have loved the look of it. But recently I decided to take a break and let my nails grow out naturally so I refreshed my brain and reread my old post on here. It’s all good advice and the oils mentioned can be really helpful for the health of the nails, but I’ve learned something new that I wanted to share. ~ If you want the look of naked, healthy nails after having them covered for a long time, try using our Fractionated Coconut oil mixed with a drop of our Tea Tree oil and massaging it into your nails. Let it absorb into the nails and then carry on with your day. I did this twice a day, in the morning and the evening, and within a couple of weeks my nails looked clear and healthy again. Now I’m able to just brush a clear coat of polish over them and go, and I still have that nice, clean look. ~ You can also use our Frankincense oil in the same way, and even our Immortelle blend. These oils are very supportive for the skin and nails and have helped a lot of people get through the awkward stage of in-between time. If you’ve ever had a nail service for awhile and then quit, you know exactly what I’m talking about!
Have a great day! Jana
