Have you noticed how many people are looking at the approaching summer months, at least in this part of the world, and thinking about getting into an exercise program of some kind? Or maybe they are starting to look at how they are consuming calories and thinking about how they can cut back a bit to save their bodies from too much ‘extra’. Well, today I want to share two delicious, easy recipes with you that are both low calorie yet satisfying and fun. The first one is a yummy Waldorf Salad that requires 5 apples of your choice, medium diced and soaked for a few minutes in our On Guard essential oil to prevent browning and to add a great flavor. Then add 5 oz. of small diced celery, 4 oz. of course chopped walnuts, 2/3 cup mayo or Greek yogurt, and 7 drops of doTERRA’s Lemon essential oil. Combine all of these ingredients and serve. ( can be chilled if desired ) ~ The second recipe is our Italian Bread Dip that is a favorite as an appetizer or part of a meal with soup and/or salad. You’ll need 1/4 cup olive oil, 1 to 3 tablespoons of Balsamic Vinegar to taste, 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning of your choice, 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese grated fine, and 1 to 3 drops of our Oregano essential oil to taste. Gently mix together all ingredients in a bowl large enough to dip into. Dip any Italian style bread into it and enjoy! ~ These are just a couple of ideas on how you can use and enjoy the oils that you probably have at home.
