Whenever I get questions from readers or people I meet who want to know something about our oils, I always answer them quickly. I also keep them so I can write blogs that address the questions publicly so others can see them as well. You never know how many of these things are of interest to others so I’m happy to share this info on here. ~ The first question is what to do if you accidentally get an essential oil in your eye? The first thing to know is, DON”T FLUSH YOUR EYE WITH WATER! Water will drive the oil deeper into your eye causing the discomfort to linger longer. If you have milk or cream on hand, flush your eyes with that, then flush with water to get the milk out. If you don’t have milk or cream, just close your eye and ride out the discomfort which won’t last long. ~ Another common question is how to make an essential oil scent last on your skin. Most people’s bodies absorb the oils completely in about 20 or 30 minutes so they have to constantly reapply the oils. A good way to have an oil scent linger is to rub some oil on the collar of your shirt or the sleeve, put a bit on your bra or undergarment, or even rub some of the oil into the strands of your hair. This will make you a human diffuser and the oil scent will last for hours. ~ Another tip is when you use tea bags to put oils on to absorb odors in your shoes, make sure you use USED tea bags that have been dried out completely before you use them. This way the oil scent will be the only scent you smell, not the scent of the tea. ~ If you have any tips to share about doTERRA’s oils or products, please send them into me and I’ll include them in a future post!
Enjoy your day! Jana
