Yesterday I wrote about the essential oils that were helpful for our skin; our bodies largest organ. It is so important to take care of our skin because things change as we age… subtle, tight skin does not last forever. I am living proof of this. When I was young I used to live outdoors; as often as I could be, I was at the beach. Getting a tan was important to all of us young Cali kids because it made us look ‘healthy’. Or so we thought… Flash forward to now and how much time I put into keeping my skin out of the sun. I use certain oils and creams and so far, so good. I have developed some protocols that I follow and my skin has started to slowly look and feel better. So, today I was at the store and I ran into a lady I haven’t seen in awhile. I did a double take because I wasn’t sure it was her at first. This woman had the darkest tan I have ever seen on a person. Even her face was completely tanned. I said Hello and walked on by but man, I was blown away. The tan was so dark it almost looked like mud, and it looked dirty. All I could think about was how in the heck was her skin going to ever recover from this degree of treatment. I’m pretty sure that this lady doesn’t read this blog but I feel for her and am concerned about the damage she’s doing to her face and body. Now, this is none of my business and I know it, but since I started using essential oils and seeing how they can help all of us in so many areas, I have a hard time shutting up about what I’ve learned and experienced. If any of you want to learn more about the oils and products I use and recommend, please reach out to me and we can share stories. I’m always available so don’t be shy!
Have a great day! Jana
