One of my friends who shares doTERRA along with me came over to my house the other day to grab some brochures. We spent some time talking and during this time she excused herself to use the restroom. When she came out she looked at me and asked me how long I had been displaying oils on the counter in there. I told her I started leaving the oils there at first because my son uses so many, but also, I felt it was a good way to start a conversation with guests when they came over. Sometimes it’s easier to get people to ask questions when they don’t feel ‘trapped’ in a situation. And when doors are closed more people are open to uncapping a bottle and taking a whiff. After I explained this to my friend she then asked me why I was leaving so many of the expensive oils in there? That made me smile because I know how we oil-lovers are so protective of our oils… and Melissa, Frankincense, Yarrow-Pom, Sandalwood, and others are higher priced, but they are also some of the oils that hold so many benefits. And when people have access to them they tend to start asking questions, and that is what I hope for. Education is key when it comes to natural healthcare and over the years I have learned that sampling is the very best way to convert people over to the oils, even if it starts with just one oil at a time. ~ Another way to share the oils without pushing them on people is to diffuse them in your home. I do this daily and I always get a response from guests and even one pizza delivery guy who had to come in while I got a tip for him. You just never know who will start asking questions and then you just take it from there!
Have a great day! Jana
