Over the weekend I decided to do some tree trimming instead of waiting until Friday when my yard guys come. There are a ton of dead branches on this tree and I was told that if I trimmed it up, the new blossoms would spring out. I thought the tree was dead, that’s how much I know about these things. Anyway, I borrowed some yard toys from my neighbor and I began the tedious chore of trying to do this job having very limited arm strength. Long story short, it was in the 90’s, the sun was directly overhead, and I forgot to put sunscreen on. Again. When will I learn to take my own advice and be proactive when I’m working or playing outdoors… who knows. The one thing I do know is how to pamper myself after I’ve overdone it and that’s where doTERRA comes in. We have essential oils to help soothe and cool muscles and joints and over sunned skin. We have oils to help calm head tension, and to clear our airways if they get that closed up feeling from breathing in too much pollen that floats around in most gardens and backyards. And we even have oils to help take the sting out of an unexpected meeting with an insect or pest. ( this was one of my experiences this weekend ) ~ The choice oils to have on hand are: Lavender, Melaleuca, Deep Blue, Helichrysum, Eucalyptus, Frankincense, Geranium, AromaTouch blend, the Breathe blend, and Peppermint. The Lavender and Peppermint applied topically to overexposed skin will soothe and cool it, and the Peppermint applied on the forehead and back of the neck will ease tension. Helichrysum and Frankincense mixed together works as a natural sunscreen, but you have to remember to use it… Lol. And the Breathe blend is perfect for any respiratory support. Deep Blue and the AromaTouch blend will ease tension out of muscles and joints when massaged into the affected areas. And Eucalyptus and Melaleuca will help take the bite out of unwanted attention. ~ 🙂
