Almost everyone I know is going through a fitness faze because summer is almost here. The folks in California go crazy trying to get ready for the warm, sunny weather and the bathing suit shops are jam packed with women trying to find the most flattering suits. Guys are lucky, board shorts are about all one needs out here if you are a male person. The other thing I notice is the amount of joggers out. Here in San Diego we have a ton of running and biking trails that lace through all parts of the county. It makes it pretty easy to get in a workout if you live anywhere here. Along with the exercise comes aches and pains and I have some essential oils and products that can help. For muscle aches and pains you can try using Marjoram, the Soothing blend, Birch, Clove, our Massage blend, Oregano, Peppermint, Wintergreen, or Roman Chamomile by applying topically right on the affected areas. Our Soothing Rub is also a favorite of athletes and it spreads easily over larger areas without having to use a lot of product. If you are experiencing muscle fatigue, try using White Fir, Cypress or Grapefruit oil by rubbing the oil into the affected area in a massage-like manner. If you have over exercised muscles, try using White Fir, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Thyme or Ginger oils. Used in the same topical application, you should feel relief quickly. – If you were to have just a few of these oils on hand, the uses for them are many. I know a lot of people who are buying a few of the oils at a time so that their medicine cabinets are stocked in case of any incidents that may crop up. I always tell most athletes to get the Soothing Rub at least because it’s low in cost and it works for so many muscle, tissue and joint aches. With summer just around the corner, it would be a big relief to get the suit shopping done and be prepared for any aches and discomfort that come from over exercising.
