What do you do when you get bit by a bug and the bite leaves you with an annoying, relentless, itch? Most people reach for those creams or gels that you can get at your local convenience store but those all have chemicals in them that might not be the best for your skin. ( plus everything else they come into contact with when they absorb into your body ) My choice as a helpful, soothing, remedy is to use doTERRA’s Lavender and Peppermint essential oils right on the affected area, layering the oils on top of each other. You only need a tiny bit of each oil and you will quickly feel the relief you need. The oils also help to repair the skin if it has been scratched up during the natural reaction of itching it with your fingernails. Now, this is just one recipe to use on an itch, but we have a few more which I’ll share with you now. ~ Who’s heard of Blue Tansy? If you haven’t heard of it yet, or been able to experience it for yourself, get a hold of me and we can try to fix that. This oil has many uses and the smell if terrific, AND it’s also an amazing itch-reliever. Just rub a little right on the skin and you will feel quick relief. ~ The other oils to use topically in this manner for itchy situations are: Roman Chamomile, our Zendocrine blend, Myrrh, and the Serenity blend. ( Serenity may help you relax more, too ) Some of the people I know who have skin sensitivity issues like to dilute the oils in a carrier oil, like our Fractionatred Coconut oil, or just plain extra virgin olive oil. You can also add the oils to your body cream to dilute it before application. As you can see, you are in good hands when you turn to doTERRA for natural results.
Have a great day! Jana
