A few months ago I wrote a blog about people having a hard time falling asleep and staying asleep. Well, I have gotten a lot of feedback on this blog because it is such a common problem and people are needing answers. Most of the people who find my website will read what I write about if they are like-minded in their thinking, and most feel comfortable reaching out to me. ~ I wanted to share something on here that was in my essential oil quarterly magazine… it was an article that explained why sleep was so important to the human body. Sleep allows our bodies to recharge and mend from the stresses of the day. When our bodies are at total rest it gives us the ability to regroup and helps to calm the nervous system. This ‘rebuilds’ us in a way, just like filling your car with fuel, if you don’t keep it up, it will stop running. Some of the author’s favorite essential oils to help a person get a better, fuller, nights sleep are: Lavender, Vetiver, our Calming blend, Bergamot, and Roman Chamomile. You can apply any of these oils topically to reflex points and on the bottom of the feet. When you diffuse any of these oils you will sleep more soundly and comfortably. Another great tip that my mom still uses to this day is by spritzing some Lavender mixed in a little bit of water in a spray bottle on her pillows and sheets before bedtime.
