Last year I invested in a juicer that had me realizing I better use it or I just wasted a whole ton of money on a counter-space stealer. I’m happy to report that I do use it and this past weekend I used it enough to make up for the times I hadn’t during the past few months. One of the reasons people juice is to get the beneficial support that our bodies need from fresh fruits and vegetables. Most people don’t get their recommended daily amounts of these nourishing fruits and veggies so juicing is a fast, convenient way to make sure we benefit our body easily. I remember trying to follow the ‘Eat The Rainbow’ chart where they show you how to eat the right amount of red foods, blue foods, yellow, green, etc., in a day. It was overwhelming to realize how much you might need to ingest to get the recommended daily amounts of nourishment needed. That’s where juicing comes in… you can use a handful each of several fruits and veggies and make a large serving of juice that you can drink immediately, supplying your body with fresh nutrition that your cells will sing about. ~ Let’s say that the ‘idea’ of juicing intrigues you, but the taste of all of those veggies turns you off… kale, spinach, collard greens; all of these are nutritious but not so tasty for many. What I suggest is a few of our essential oils added in for a taste elevator, plus a boost of added natural benefits as well. I add one drop of our Ginger oil, Lemon, Lime, or Grapefruit oil to my finished juice, stir, and drink it down.
