This past weekend I came off my mountain with an injury to my left knee that had is swelling almost immediately. I only had a couple of oils with me, none of which were good for muscle and tissue soothing, so I had to wait to address the problem until I got home. I have my usual oils that I use for these things but for some reason my brain went back to something I learned from a friend last year. This guy is the ultimate athlete… runner, swimmer, weight lifter, hiker, you name it. Along with all of that comes frequent sore muscles and joints and when Turmeric oil was released last year he was excited. Turmeric has the natural ability to help decrease inflammation when you take it internally and when you rub it right on the area of concern. Plus, it soothes the feelings of discomfort quickly, allowing your body time to recover and bounce back in the way it was meant to. When I got home I opened the bottle and rubbed some of the oil right on my knee, massaging it into the muscle for about three full minutes. I followed that with an application of Deep Blue oil and then Copaiba oil as well, just to make sure I had all my bases covered. Having all of these oils on hand is really key because I have everything I need to take care of almost anything that comes down the pike. I feel grateful that I can share all of this with friends as well, allowing them the chance to have natural help when they need it. ~ It’s Monday now and my knee is doing great… I can still feel a little twinge, but for the most part it’s good to go, ready for another climb. How grateful am I for doTERRA?… Pretty damn grateful, every single day!
