I had a whole different topic to talk about today but because of what happened last night I changed my mind. Last night we had some extreme weather roll through and with it came the loudest thunder I have ever personally heard. There was also heavy rain, hail, and lightening. I must have missed the weather report because I wasn’t prepared for any of this. Anyway, the entire household woke up and my cat was MIA for about 15 minutes before we finally found her. The dog was shaking she was so stressed out and their feelings stayed that way until the weather passed on through. The positive thing was that I had the tools to help them relax a little and calm down, one of which was my diffuser and my Fir oils. In case you didn’t know, the essential oils that smell like the outdoors, or trees, or dirt, ( ! ) are really popular with domestic pets. When they are diffused in the air it has a calming, soothing effect over them and you can see them start to relax quickly. Last night I watched a total mood turnaround in both of them and I was so grateful to have these oils on hand. ~ Some of the oils I use in my home for my pets benefit, and my own, are: Siberian Fir, Douglas Fir, Black Spruce, Serenity, Balance, Lavender, Peace, Frankincense, Vetiver, and Sandalwood to name just a few. Some of these oils can also be applied lightly behind your dogs ears, and on the bottom of their feet, in-between the paw pads. You can also spritz some of the oils on their bedding to help soothe them naturally when needed. ~ Pets and oils are a popular topic so if you want more info on this, contact me and we can go over the topics that are important to you.
Have a great day! Jana
