Since I got back from a work event last week I have been meeting with some people who share doTERRA in my group. I’ve also started talking to some new people about making some changes in their own lives because they don’t seem to be too happy most of the time. I hear complaints about how hard their jobs are, how little they get paid, long hours with little benefits, etc. Introducing them to the opportunities that doTERRA offers has been uplifting for most of them and I’m so happy I can do it. ~ After spending a full day talking to about six people, individually, I came home and felt like relaxing. I needed to turn my mind away from negativity and concentrate on something beautiful. So that evening I turned on a program that goes to remote places on earth and films amazing things, mostly never seen by humans. One of the clips was about a bunch of Chinstrap Penguins that live on a volcanic island off of Africa. The island is called Zavodovski island and is anything but beautiful. All of these penguins spend their entire lives doing three things… hunting for food in the most dangerous seas around, feeding their young hatchlings and sheltering them constantly from birds who want to swoop down and seize them, and taking turns with their mate, doing it over and over again. As I watched this video I couldn’t quite believe what I was seeing. Many of these penguins don’t make the journey back from the sea, which means the rest of the family will die. And the cliffs of volcanic rock they have to traverse is insane… As I watched this unfold, my breath was actually taken away. I knew at that moment that I would never dwell on anything negative again, at least for any length. I may have very busy days sometimes, but at least I know I have shelter, my health, food, and a lot of joy. Sometimes it pays to look beyond our own lives to understand what we really have.
Have a great day! Jana
